George Best Stories
When asked by a reporter many years back what he did with his money after
claiming he was penniless he said;
"I spent a quarter of it on birds, a quarter on booze, a quarter on drugs and
the rest i just wasted"

George wins a fortune at the tables in a Manchester Casino in the 70's with
the then Miss World (Mary Slavin) on his arm.
He rings the Midland Hotel to book the Penthouse for the night and makes his way
across town with Mary and a suitcase full of cash in the back of a taxi.
On arrival, George rings the night porter and orders two bottles of the most
expensive champagne. Whilst Mary slips into something more comfortable, George
tips the cash out all over the bed.
The porter (a lifelong MUFC fan) arrives with the fizz. He is in awe at meeting
his idol but notices the scene in the bedroom and frowns his disapproval just as
Mary walks out from the bathroom wearing very little indeed.
With his £50 tip in hand, he turns to GB at the door and says...
"Where did it all go wrong, son?"
